For your Shooting Guard, you should keep your weight low to be quicker and more versatile on the court, but just low enough so that you have decent strength. 196 lbs seem to support this idea.

Tips

If you building a shooting guard, you can try to boost 3-point shooting attributes, as well as quickness to get open. From there, you can build attributes in other areas. Height, weight, and wingspan can play a major role in deciding your player's strengths.  Shooting guards tend to be, on average, around 6'5", approximately 196 lbs, and 79.9" wingspan. Look to shorten the height by a tiny bit, as well as draw in the wingspan. However, up the weight in case you need to break away or push someone out of a possible contact dunk. Upping the weight will also help to increase your strength battles in both offense and defense.
