Overrated Players in NBA 2k20 Rating

Gamers and fans are arguing over the ratings of NBA 2K20 players, saying some players are either a little too high or too low. Previously given the list of underrated players in the NBA 2k20, now we have to look at the list of overrated players.

LeBron James (97)

How can LeBron James be rated too high? He's one of the greatest players in NBA history! That is absolutely the case, yes. However, James is a 97 in this game, which ties him with Kawhi Leonard for the top spot. Though he still puts up big numbers, James had his worst season in quite some time.  A guy like Leonard closed the gap, who joined the Toronto Raptors and took them to win the NBA title for the first time, he should be in sole possession of the top spot. If Leonard is a 97, James needs to be a 96.

Chris Paul – (85)

Even if Chris Paul is past his prime, nobody can say the point guard is not a good player anymore. Last season he averaged just 15.6 points per game, and still was given an 85 overall rating (initially believed to be 87) tied with players like Al Horford, Tobias Harris, and Khris Middleton. He took a rating hit of 2 points from his 2019 rating. This does not take into account that his early-season rating was a solid 90, meaning overall, he lost a whopping 5 points between the early part of the 2019 season to the start of the 2020 season, making this one of the largest dips in ratings we have seen yet, however much it was warranted.

Danilo Gallinari- (85)

Danilo Gallinari, the Italian winger who is a recognized scorer in the league, spent his best season on the Clippers, averaging 19.8 points. He has since been traded to the Oklahoma City Thunder and has been given an 85 rating in NBA 2k20. According to NBA 2k, he is tied with several players for the ranking of the 40th best player in the NBA. He was given the same rating as C.J. McCollum, who averaged 21 points per game and has a more polished overall skillset. As a result, Gallinari's rating should be lowered a few points.

Jayson Tatum – (85)

Jayson Tatum's rating coming in at 85, down from an 87 in NBA 2K19. As a rookie, Jayson Tatum averaged 13.9 points and 5.0 rebounds during the regular season before upping his production to 18.5 points per game during the Celtics' run to the Eastern Conference finals. When we see what the 2K team did with Kuzma and Ingram, it's mandatory to check what they did with Kuzma and Jayson Tatum, who got an 85 overall rating in the new installment of the video game, one point above Kuzma while scoring three points per game less than the Lakers young player. We don't know what they were thinking with this, but they'll probably fix it as the season goes on.

Clint Capela – (85)

The Houston Rockets' Clint Capela has averaged a steady double-double throughout his career. he is a very good center, who can post good numbers and is a good defender, but even with all the good things he brings to the table, giving him an 85 overall rating is a little too much. Just last season, his numbers dipped slightly but he still averaged 17.8 points and 13.8 boards per game for a contending Houston team. The one thing that stands out above the rest is the fact that he just disappears when the postseason arrives. All of his points and efficiency fade away when the playoffs come, making it hard to imagine that he actually deserves the rating he was given in 2K20.
