Which Teams are Worth Using in NBA 2k21 MyGM/MyLeague?
NBA 2K21's MyGM and MyLeague modes allow players to control franchises, but there are some differences between teams. Some teams have the best offense, some have the best defense, and some are the best sleeper teams. The following are the best teams that are worth using in NBA 2K21's MyGM and MyLeague.
New Orleans Pelicans
The New Orleans Pelicans' prospect pool is by far the deepest in the NBA. In terms of being competitive, having a bright future, and featuring veterans who can be moved for other pieces, the New Orleans Pelicans have it all.
Obviously, the biggest selling point is Zion Williamson, who is a blast to control and dunk all over opposing teams.
The Pelicans also able to land two of the Lakers' former second overall picks, Lonzo Ball (77) and Brandon Ingram (86), as well as three first-round picks in the deal. All three players are under 23-years-old and are yet to reach their full potential.
The Pelicans have some very valuable veterans in Jrue Holiday (83), J.J. Redick (78), and Derrick Favors (77), who could be flipped for even more assets to fill the prospect pool further.
Oklahoma City Thunder
From Seattle to OKC, this franchise has had several talented names on the roster.
Atop that roster is the 2010s super duo of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook, who bring two different scoring dynamics. Durant can light you up from anywhere, while Westbrook can drive to the rim with ease.
Alongside them is their duo of the 1990s, Gary Payton and Shawn Kemp, who mainly specialize defensively but can provide offensively in certain roles.
Playing off those two duos is Ray Allen, who played with the Sonics through his prime and made his money from the three-point line.
Accompanying that deadly starting five are other high-overall players that can lead the offense themselves such as Paul George, Dennis Johnson, and Jack Sikma.
Also, there is no team more loaded with future draft picks than the Oklahoma City Thunder. They own at least three first-round picks in each draft until 2027, except for 2022 when they have two. That's a ton of potential to build the future.
Brooklyn Nets
Brooklyn Nets are probably not built to be a powerhouse dynasty but for a few years, they can be unstoppable. They've come out as a title threat and are loaded with talent.
The Nets have an average age of close to 27-years-old, boasting a good mix of proven NBA players. Kevin Durant has the highest potential rating at 98, and Irving is a top-ten player at 91.
Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving, and James Harden form an absurdly good offensive squad, and adding Blake Griffin only adds to that.
With them both back at 100 percent, and young players like Caris LeVert (83) and Jarrett Allen (81) continuing to develop, the Nets have all of the ingredients to be the dark horse team in NBA 2K21.
Seattle Storm
The Seattle Storm is the best WNBA team in 2K21.
Led by Breanna Stewart (95) and Natasha Howard (93), the team has one of the best frontcourts in the league. They are strong at both ends of the floor with a 97 overall offense and a 90 defense.
Their guard depth is particularly strong, with Sue Bird (86), Jewell Llyod (84), and Alysha Clark (83) ruling the backcourt.
Atlanta Hawks
Heading into the 2020/21 NBA season, the Atlanta Hawks have the most cap space out of any team in the league.
The possibility of adding a top-level player to the team's existing youthful core is a great one. Trae Young is one of the best young talents in the game, while the likes of John Collins and De'Andre Hunter have talent.
There's also a slew of veterans like Rajon Rondo and Danilo Gallinari to move if need be. They still on their rookie contracts, the Hawks aren't as financially restricted as most teams in NBA 2K21.
All of these teams are worth using. Also, visit here for more NBA 2K21 guides, tips, and updates. Best of all, there have a lot of NBA 2K21 MT for sale, safe and fast deals, and even offers the lowest price on the entire network!
