NBA 2K20 Trailer Shows Star-Studded Story Mode

As for the trailer, it is packed with star power. Sheldon Candis directed the video, which stars a number of big NBA and Hollywood stars. Veteran actor and Golden Globe Winner Idris Elba appear to play a coach, veteran actress Rosario Dawson are featured as well, former Family Matters star Jaleel White, Thomas Middleditch also makes an appearance, hopefully in some Silicon Valley adjacent role where he can serve as comic relief.
The MyCareer mode has often featured other celebrities as they've invested more in creating a dramatic feel to the game. However, they obviously felt the need to spice things up and call in people who have experience telling stories like these in other avenues outside of the video game realm.
With each story, your MyCareer player is given a nickname. In the past, we've seen Frequency Vibrations, DJ and last year it was A.I. In NBA 2K20, your character will go by Che, though you'll still be able to use the face scan technology or sculpting to create your MyPlayer.
Sports don't change that much, so neither do sports games. Yeah, the sweat graphics get better, the rosters get updated, and the mechanics try new ways to replicate play that can only really happen in the real world with real people. NBA 2K20 which will be released in less than three weeks, promises to include an even better story mode, and while we haven't played the game yet, we have plenty of reasons to think it might be.
