NBA 2K20 New Badges List

September 6 marks the release of the NBA's 2K20, which brings more content and new features. This year, 2K has released about 80 badges that allow players to express different advantages in every aspect of the game. Let's take a look at some of the new badges that will be on display this year and highlight the crucial role these new badges play in the game.


 Badge: Quick First Step
Description: It provides more explosive first steps out of triple threat and size-ups. When driving out of a triple threat or after a size-up, ball handlers have access to quicker, and more effective, launches.
NBA Player Association: Grant Hill, Michael Jordan, Sean Elliott

Badge: Interceptor
Description: Increases the chances of getting steals in passing lanes.
NBA Player Association: Kawhi Leonard, Scottie Pippen, James Harden, and Paul George

Badge: Volume Shooter
Description: Boosts shot percentages as shot attempts accrue throughout the game.
NBA Player Association: James Harden and Allen Iverson

Badge: Deep Fades
Description: Improves the chance of making a post fadeaway from deep range. Post fadeaways took far from the basket receive less of a distance penalty than normal.
NBA Player Association: Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant

Badge: Giant Slayer
Description: Heightens the effectiveness of layups over taller defenders. Boosts the shot percentage for a layup attempt when mismatched against a taller defender and reduces the possibility of getting blocked.

Badge: Clamps
Description: Boosts the ability to stay in front of the ball handler on the perimeter.

Badge: Post-Move Lockdown
Description: Improves the defender's ability to defend post moves.

Badge: Slippery Off-ball
Description: Strengthens the player's ability to get open off the ball.

Description: It improves a player's ability to create space from a defender.

Badge: Rebound Chaser
Description: Improves a player's ability to chase down rebounds. Improves a player's ability to track down rebounds from farther distances than normal.

Badge: Worm
Description: It allows rebounders to swim or spin around box outs more easily.

Badge: Box
Description: Improves the player's ability to box out opponents. Strengthens a player's ability to effectively box out opponents in anticipation of a rebound.
NBA Player Association: Dennis Rodman, Andre Drummond, and Moses Malone

Badge: Handles For Days
Description: Reduces the amount of energy lost when performing dribble moves. A player takes less of an energy hit when performing consecutive dribble moves, allowing them to chain together combos quicker and for longer periods of time.
NBA Player Association: Kyrie Irving and Allen Iverson

Badge: Fancy Footwork
Description: Improves a player's ability to beat defenders with an advanced layup or dunk gather. Players get past defenders more efficiently when performing euro, cradle, hop step, spin and half-spin gather.

Badge: Deadeye
Description: Reduces the impact of a defender who is closing out. Jump shots taken with a defender closing out receive less of a penalty from a shot contest. This includes both mid-range and 3PT shots.
NBA Player Association: Kevin Durant

There are a lot of new badges in the game. The above list is just a part of it, along with some interesting new personality badges such as Media Ringmaster and Warm-Weather Lover. These badges are mainly used in the off-season MyGM and MyLeague modes to make the player's sports components human.
