NBA 2K21: Best 3-Point Shooters at the Start of the Season
Shooters are important in the current NBA. The 3-point shot is a vital part of the game right now and that has transcended the NBA itself. It's not different in NBA 2K. If 3-point shooting is your style, it's good to know which cards in NBA 2K21's MyTeam are the best available to you. And as of December 2020, here are the players with the highest 3-Point Attribute Rating:
1. Steph Curry (PG/SG for Golden State Warriors)
• 99 3PT
• 95 OVR
• Offensive Threat
Despite an injury layoff and a woeful season for the Warriors, Steph Curry remains the man of the moment when it comes to the three-ball. Arguably the best three-point shooter of all time, the Warriors PG has a maxed out 99 OVR when it comes to shooting from beyond the arc. You can use him in MyTeam, of course, he needs you to pay a lot of NBA 2k21 MyTeam coins. But it is excellent value for money.
2. Klay Thompson (SG/SF for Golden State Warriors)
• 95 3PT
• 89 OVR
• 2-Way 3-Level Scorer
Joining Steph at the top of the rankings for yet another year is his Golden State teammate - and fellow Splash Brother - Klay Thompson. Like Curry, Klay struggled with injury problems this season but has averaged over three triples per game for five straight seasons, dating back to 2014/15. He also has an elite career average of 41.9 percent from beyond the arc and is one of the most reliable three-point shooters in NBA 2K21. With an 89 outside scoring and a 95 three-point rating, Thompson is the best three-point shooter at the shooting guard position.
3. Duncan Robinson (SG/SF for Miami Heat)
• 92 3PT
• 78 OVR
• 3PT Specialist
Duncan Robinson is making a huge splash this season. He's become a pivotal part of the Miami Heat's success thanks to his three-point shooting, which is the very same thing that finally granted him a spot to play in the NBA after years of struggles. Several players around the league are claiming that Duncan Robinson is the best shooter in the game right now, even ahead of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson. That may not be that far-fetched at all. Hopefully, he'll be around the league for many more years.
4. J.J. Redick (SG for New Orleans Pelicans)
• 90 3PT
• 78 OVR
• Sharpshooter
From a hot youngster to an NBA veteran. J.J. Reddick once again features at the top end of the three-point list. The 36-year-old recently finished his 14th NBA season with the New Orleans Pelicans and was one of the top shooters on his team. Averaging three triples per game and a 45.3 percent conversion rate, with a 41.6 percent career-average from beyond the arc, Redick is considered to be one of the best pure sharpshooters of the decade.
5. Damian Lillard (PG for Portland Trail Blazers)
• 89 3PT
• 95 OVR
• Offensive Threat
Damian Lillard, while not as sharp as Steph Curry from beyond the arc, still boasts an impressive 89 rating along with a 95 overall. He's an all-around scoring threat so he's not a bad option.
6. Seth Curry (SG/PG for Philadelphia 76ers)
• 89 3PT
• 78 OVR
• 3-Level Scorer – Sharpshooter
Shooters shoot, and Seth Curry will never stop shooting. People talk about Stephen Curry's shot and for good reason but sometimes, it feels like his little brother's even better. Obviously, we don't mean a better player, we're just talking about his shooting. Like his brother and his old man, Seth Curry is a huge threat from beyond the arc, not only because of his skills but also because of his efficiency.
7. Matt Thomas (SG/SF for Toronto Raptors)
• 89 3PT
• 74 OVR
• Sharpshooter
The 26-year-old made his NBA debut this year when he joined the Toronto Raptors from Spanish side Valencia, and he's certainly made his mark. The shooting guard only featured in 41 games for the Canadian franchise but shot an absurd 47.5% from deep. Quite crazy numbers for an NBA debutant.
8. Derrick Walton Jr. (PG Free Agent)
• 89 3PT
• 69 OVR
• 3PT Specialist
9. George Hill (PG/SG for Milwaukee Bucks)
• 88 3PT
• 77 OVR
• Deep-Range Shot Creator
10. Doug McDermott (SF/PF for Indianapolis Pacers)
• 88 3PT
• 76 OVR
• 3PT Specialist
11. Rodney Hood (SF/SG for Portland Trail Blazers)
• 88 3PT
• 76 OVR
• Sharpshooter
12. Jared Dudley (PF for Los Angeles Lakers)
• 88 3PT
• 72 OVR
• Stretch Four
