Rank the 10 Best Gold Cards in NBA 2K20 MyTeam

Here, we list the top 10 best gold cards in NBA 2K20 MyTeam to help you build your dream team in MyTeam mode.

Fat Lever '94

On top of having an all-time Hall of Fame name in the professional sports world, Fat Lever is one of the more underrated players to wear a Denver Nuggets uniform. During his six years with the Nuggets, he was able to secure 17.0 points per game, as well as a strong 2.5 steals per game and 7.5 assists per game. This made him very different from his namesake, as he was one of the faster players on the court.

His gold version card shows a Lever in his younger years as he spent time with the Portland Trailblazers as a rookie and a sophomore in the league. It wasn't until he made his way to Denver where his skills started to come together for him. He's a solid combo guard who is a stellar athlete and can play-make with the best of them despite being a limited shooter.

Derrick Rose

Once Derrick Rose left the Chicago Bulls fans were wondering if the MVP point guard would ever return to his superstar play. A myriad of injuries set back the world-class athlete Rose displayed himself as to the world when he left Memphis University to enter the NBA draft. His short time in Minnesota with the Timberwolves showcased a promising return to form that has fully come to flourish now that he plays in Detroit alongside Blake Griffin. This guy came off the bench to score 50 points in a game last season. Statistically, he just had the best season of his career (even better than his MVP season), even if he has lost some of his athleticism along the way. It may not be his Bulls card, but having a Derrick Rose card feels special nonetheless.

Kyle Korver '08

From a gameplay point of view, Kyle Korver has a strong case for being the most exciting addition to the Bucks' roster this offseason. Just as is the case in real life, the prospect of surrounding Giannis with the sharpshooting of Kyle Korver in 2K20 is tantalizing, to say the least. An important role to fill in today's NBA is a knockdown 3-point shooter, and the gold Kyle Korver '08 card offers the most bang for your buck.

Korver ranks as comfortably the Bucks' best three-point shooter. It has a 90 when it comes to 3-point shooting alongside a 95 for offensive consistency and an 88 rated mid-range shot as well. If you're looking to get someone who is almost automatic from range and don't want to spend an arm and a leg, snag this Kyle Korver card.

Ray Allen '12

Widely regarded as one of the greatest shooters of all-time, Ray Allen can drain a three from just about anywhere around the perimeter despite his low OVR. The world considers him arguably the best shooter in NBA history. Ray Allen isn't only a solid 3-point shooter, he proved time and time again he was more than capable of hitting big shots in big moments.

A strong spot-up shooter is always a good option to have in your attack. Allen can also defend fairly well with a B- grade for perimeter defense. His inside scoring isn't the best but you cannot expect a 79 overall to do everything. It's hard to recommend his card when Kyle Korver's '08 card which we'll talk about next is better, but the chance to control and use Ray Allen's quick-release shot whenever you like on a fantasy team is worth it even if his ratings are less than ideal.

Gordon Hayward

The next name we have selected is the Boston Celtics shooting forward Gordon Hayward. Hayward was dropped to an 80 at the launch of 2K20 and rightly so, after a difficult season for the C's coming off the back of that horrific leg break he suffered on debut the previous campaign.

However, Hayward has started the season like the man he once was as the new-look Celtics have risen to a 4-1 record early doors. Averaging 16.6 points, 7.6 rebounds and 3.6 assists per game.

His gold card, however, shows that even as a shell of his former self, he's still more skilled and capable than a majority of the league.

Aaron Gordon

Orlando Magic's Aaron Gordon won the fourth-best dunk and scored an impressive rating of 95. Fans expect Gordon to shine in his 2018-19 career. but for a guy who knows a thing or two about vertical leaping, this past season was just a mere bunny-hop in his career.

It's been a bit of a 50/50 start to the season for the Magic, they scraped the playoffs last season and with a record of 6-8, are sitting around mid-table after 14 games. Aaron Gordon hasn't had a bad start to the season by any stretch of the imagination, but he just isn't living up to the standards he has set himself in the last campaign.

Even though it's just a gold card, Gordon's 79 overall card has tremendous dunking attributes and not much else. You would think an athlete of Gordon's caliber would be a decent rebounder, but for some reason that never really grew to be a strong part of his game despite his world-class vertical and leaping ability.

JJ Redick

You may be wondering why the best 3-point shooter with the highest rating behind the line on this list is so low. The answer to that has to do with the fact that JJ Redick. Redick is a liability on the defensive end of the court. Are Kyle Korver and Ray Allen all-defensive team type guys? No, certainly not. That being said, at least they sometimes try to card their matchup. If the defense doesn't concern you then pick up this card. Redick sports a 92 from 3-point range, 89 for mid-range, and a 95 in offensive consistency. Talk about a scoring machine.

Rudy Gay

Rudy Gay is one of the hardest workers players in the NBA and he remains as one of the best in his position right now, when he's past his primer. Wherever he went, he played good and has established himself as one of the best players on the San Antonio Spurs roster. Last season, Gay averaged 13.7 points, 6.8 rebounds and 2.6 assists per game earning an 81 overall rating.

His gold card attributes are exactly what you think they would be. He has the good offensive ability from anywhere on the court and is a decent athlete and ball-handler. His gold card won't wow you, but it can provide a consistent and solid play on both ends of the court.

Serge Ibaka

Serge Ibaka came on the scene like a bolt of lightning back in Oklahoma City when he was a part of that championship-contending Thunder roster. He made a name for himself as a willing rebounder who could also protect the rim with the best of them.

After the party split and Kevin Durant left, the team also moved on from Ibaka as their title window evaporated into thin air. In 2018-19 NBA playoffs Ibaka played a large role alongside Kyle Lowry and Kawhi Leonard as they brought Toronto their first NBA title. His gold card is a solid stretch forward and posts defender.

Zion Williamson

Zion Williamson hasn't been in the lineup very long having battled through injury, but in his short time there he has already made his mark. He is showing off his incredible athleticism and ability almost every opportunity he gets and reached new highs in terms of points scored. Against the Grizzlies he scored 24 points and added six rebounds and three assists.

It's gone from doubters wondering if the young man can stay healthy at his weight, to now seeing sports media report on Zion matching early-career numbers with Hall of Famers and future inductees. This gold card is a doubter's wet dream as it can't do much outside of dunking. This is typical of rookie cards in fantasy modes who have yet to see what these young players are fully capable of when they step out on the court.

Using them you can build a competitive team, and most importantly, you can spend very little on NBA 2k20 mt coins. For more NBA 2k20 MyTeam information, please click here.
