NBA 2K22: 5 Players Whose Ratings Need to be Updated

The newest player ratings update for NBA 2K22 has arrived, with many players seeing their ratings rise or fall. However, we feel five players need an update to their NBA 2K22 ratings.

Chris Paul (PHX) - PG - 89 OVR (+1)

Chris Paul

Chris Paul is lighting up the stat sheet and is leading the best team in the Western Conference right now. Averaging 14.4 points per game might not seem like a lot, but he pairs it with 10.2 assists and 2.0 steals per game. It's time Chris Paul makes it into the NBA 2K22 90 OVR club. Zach Lavine (CHI) - SG/SF - 89 OVR (+1)

Zach Lavine

Two-time NBA Dunk Contest winner Zach LaVine may have upped his shooting over the past couple of seasons, but he's still a dunk master. Unlike other dunkers, LaVine has the ball-handling skills and speed to beat his defender and get to the rim with ease. On the season, Zach Lavine ranks just behind DeMar DeRozan in points per game at 26.2. However, people forget that Lavine is shooting 41.1% from beyond the arc. He could at least see an NBA 2K22 ratings boost to 89 OVR.

Bradley Beal (WAS) - SG/PG - 89 OVR (+2)

Bradley Beal

Bradley Beal is an incredible leader and is ranked 13th in the NBA for points per game (24.0). Somehow, he's only an 87 OVR in NBA 2K22 right now. Beal produced his second straight season with 30+ ppg and had 4.4 assists and 4.7 rebounds. His shooting efficiency was a handsome 53.2%, and we think it's time NBA 2K22 puts him back at 89 OVR.

Fred VanVleet (TOR) - SG/PG - 84 (+1)

Fred VanVleet

Fred VanVleet never ceases to impress us every year, and yet, his NBA 2K22 rating doesn't do him justice. On the season, Fred Vanvleet is averaging 22.0 PPG, 5.0 RPG, 6.7 APG, and 1.6 SPG, on 44.2 percent from the field and 40.9 percent from the three-point range. These numbers are enough to argue that Fred Vanvleet should be higher than an 83 overall.

Buddy Hield (SAC) - SG/SF - 81 (+2)

Buddy Hield

Currently, Buddy Hield has an NBA 2K22 rating of 79, which we think is rather strange. Hield averages 15.4 points per game. He's also an efficient three-point shooter in the NBA. Hield ranks at No.3 with 3.6 per game in three-pointers made per game. He's not very far from the 97 OVR Stephen Curry. We'd like to see a +2 boost to Buddy Hield.
