NBA 2K21 Player Ratings: LeBron James ranks No. 1

2K Sports released the Next-Gen and Current-Gen ratings for several NBA stars. LeBron James is the highest-rated player in NBA 2K21 at 98. Two-time MVP Giannis Antetokounmpo is right behind James at 97. Other superstars received their updated ratings as well. Check out the latest player ratings for NBA 2K21.

Los Angeles Lakers star and reigning NBA Finals MVP LeBron James is, unsurprisingly, the highest-rated player in 2K21, coming in at an overall of 98. The Lakers star has now been rated at 98 overall or higher eight times in his career.

Right behind him in the ratings is Milwaukee Bucks star and two-time Kia MVP winner Giannis Antetokounmpo, who is a 97.

Only five other players are rated at 95 or above (Anthony Davis, James Harden, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Damian Lillard).

Anthony Davis Gets a 96 OVR to make the Lakers a deadly team.

James Harden has a 99 OVR beard game, but 2K has given him 96 OVR on the court.

Returning from injury after a year, Kevin Durant's rating takes a hit going from 96 to 95. This is only due to him not playing and there's no doubt this will increase once he is back to his best.

Another star returning from an injury ridden season, Warriors star Stephen Curry gets a 95 rating again. He just played five games last season so didn't have a chance to boost his ratings.

Portland Trail Blazers star Damian Lillard has received an overall rating of 95 in the basketball video game NBA 2K21. The bubble MVP and 2K cover athlete had his best season ever in 2019-20, posting 30 points, 8 assists, and 4.3 rebounds on 46.3% shooting.

The Mavs young star gets a huge 94 OVR. The 21-year old had a fantastic sophomore season followed by impressive playoff displays. Doncic is one of several players eyeing up the established NBA stars and imagining life at the top of the pile.

Jimmy Butler was always in the realm of a great player, but not yet elite, at least according to usual NBA 2K ratings. In NBA 2K21, after the Miami Heat's Finals run, Butler lands a rating of 93. Not only does this make him one of the best players in the game, but the best player for the Heat since The Heatles 2K era.

Additionally, Kyrie Irving's rating took a hit. He was a 91 at the start of the 2019-20 season and has dipped to a 90 ahead of 2020-21 — which is the same grade Boston Celtics forward Jayson Tatum received.

Tatum is the highest rated Celtic on the roster and the first Boston player with at least a 90 rating since Kyrie Irving in 2K19.

Paul George was a top-10 player with a rating of 93 in NBA 2K20 last year. But after his dismal performance in the Orlando bubble, the 30-year-old has dropped to 88 overall according to the latest NBA 2K21 ratings.
